Anodes are used for the purpose of introducing electrical current and/ alebo replenishing the metal ions in the plating bath. The stems of all anodes may be bent to hand on the edge of the beakers. There are two types of anodes: Soluble- Copper, nickel, and silver anodes dissolve into the bath, replacing metal ions as they are deposited onto the work piece during plating. Inert- Our stainless steel and platinum- clad anodes do not disolve in the plating bath. Prices of anodes will fluctuate due to metal market prices.
